Car navigation systems and other in-vehicle information equipment have made driving more convenient. Conversely, such equipment is feared to distract the driver's attention and cause inattentive driving, thereby causing accidents. The Laboratory is studying optimum information providing technologies that do not distract driver's attention during driving.
