Single-Cylinder Test Engine and Laser Measurement System

These facilities analyze techniques to control combustion inside a cylinder that produces less air polluting components, such as particulate matter and NOx using a test diesel engine capable of observing combustion inside a combustion chamber. The aim is to discover new combustion methods such as HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition), and expand the scope of application through the study of fuel and other aspects.
